They're all related to the PC/Mac edition of Halo!
That's right folks. Speculation is over, the date is set - Summer 2003. Gearbox will be porting over the X-Box giant to the PC (and the Mac I think...). I'm not sure what changes will be made but the article did indicate advancements of the multiplayer code.
Read 3DAPs article on the topic. (http://www.3dap.com/news/fullstory.asp?id=3650)
Horray!

Well.. looks like I'm not getting an X-Box....
bah.. next year.. **** it.. I'm getting an X-Box...
-
one only can wonder if it will hold its own when the next generation of FPS shooters arrive.
P.S. And it was ours first, bloody X-Box stole it from us :mad2: :)

HORRAY!!! :D :D

WHOPEEE! :D But I still think I'll "borrow" my friends X-Box for couple of weeks to play Halo. I just hope it doesen't catch fire and torch my house. :D

Read about this yesterday! GREAT NEWS!

This looks really good; the game will probably look even better on a computer. ;)
-
[excitement] THIS IS GONNA BE GOOD! [/excitement]
Will look soooo good on a normal PC. Will look flippin' UNBELIEVEABLE on an up-to-date rig.
:D :D :D

Summer 2003. Long enough time... but that might even be a good game on computer, as the controls are much better. ;)
-
I was going to post some wiseass comment about them taking so long to port it before I realized that most of their time will be spent on the multiplayer code. If they can write netcode that doesn't suck, I'll wait a year. :)

Halo, meh. Didn't look too appealing on the Xbox and I doubt it'll win me over on the PC. FPS have been done to death as a genre but unfortunately, its the only genre the PC is ideally suited for so publishers just keep churnin' 'em out.

I've played it... Love it.. this is one of the best FPSs I have ever played... Even without the stunning graphics, it would still be good imho... they just add to it..
-
*already has Xbox and Halo*
This affects me very little

Unless Gearbox get clued up and give Halo all kinds of amazing stuff that the X-Box version doesn't have, thus drawing a much larger audience since even those with the X-Box edition might be tempted ;)

hehehe lol :D
