I've been thinking. What would you guys think of a campaign set in a completely new galaxy? Although I would use the normal FS ships (also FS1 converted, etc) the story would be new (I hope). Here is the main idea behind the campaign :

Features :
- Story is set in in the year 2232 where sub space has just been discovered.
- Where the command briefing would be there will now be an actual story.
- Major character development.
- You control a character who can make decisions (in mission decisions).
- You can join either the corrupt UEC (United Earth Coalition) or the OWH (Order of the White Hart)
Description of the factions :
UEC :
- Full name : United Earth Coalition
- Government : Plutocracy (A Plutocracy is a government system where wealth is the principal basis of power (from the Greek ploutos meaning wealth).)
- Head of State : Rear Admiral Christian Bevelle
- Territory : Earth (+Moon), Venus, Mercury
- Description : In the year 2078 the 3rd world war broke out. The Asian forces had united themselves and launched an all out attack on the western nations. For 22 years they fought but neither side was close to victory. After having heavy casualties on both sides they signed a Non-agression pact. Later on in the year 2131 after the restoration of the entire planet they saw that cooperation was also an option. The UEC was the result of that. The entire planet was relieved. But not for long because it seemed that the new government was corrupt. It supressed its people and devoted all its fund to military ends. Although great technological advantages were made in the field of space exploration the people were poor and were starving. They lived like that for 12 years, but after that a man arose : Gary Masters (2143). He led a rebellion to free themselves from the UEC. While the UEC was in turmoil the rebellion succeeded in crippling ship after ship. After a few years the UEC fleet was deminished to a single fleet. That fleet was captured by the rebels and they took off. The UEC recovered from the blow that the rebels had dealt and retaliated. But they found out that the rebels had become a serious threat to the power of the UEC...
OWH :
- Full name : Order of the White Heart
- Government : Democracy
- Head of state : President David Masters, Vice-President Kevin Moore
- Territory : Mars (+ Mars's moons Phobos and Deimos), Jupiters moon Europa
- Description : In the year 2145 the rebels settled on Mars. After they established a small outpost they gave the faction a name. The OWH (Order of the White Heart). They swore to never fall under UEC authority again. The OWH thrived and grew. After many years (2190) the OWH populated the entire surface of Mars. After repelling several attacks from the UEC they decided to put up a safe outpost on the moon of Jupiter ; Europa. In that same year President Gary Masters died. His son was elected to be his succesor. Together with his new Vice President Kevin Moore he completed the outpost on Europa. In the year 2232 a major discovery was amde by both the UEC and OWH. Subspace... A new fight began...
Unknown :
- Full name : Unknown
- Government : Ochlocracy (Rule by organized crime. Usually several factions or cartels rise to power and balance each other through conflict and cooperation.)
- Head of state : Unknown
- Territory : Unknown
- Description : Much is unknown about this faction. All there is are rumors. The strongest rumor is that it is a strong pirate cartel but other than that nothing is known about this faction.

There will be no Great War, its a new galaxy.
PWO is now the UEC.

I like it but don't make Vasudans, or their ships be there not even in modle form, or another race or that matter, I whan't one where all you fight are humans.

NO vasudans here :D. Its a different universe... Maybe in a new chapter another race will be discovered but not in the first one.

I've decided that there will be no shields in the game and that there will be a Pirate cartel.
Look at the first post for the update.
EDIT : I've also decided on a name : "Betrayal and Revenge"
