Title: Medical ships?

I remember downloading a mod that converts the textures on the drone02, TAC 1, Faustus and Elysium to look as though they're medical vessels. I really liked this mod, because the textures looked so much better. I've been trying to search for them all over the net, but I can't seem to find them again (I'm not talking about the one were a Satis freighter just has a cross marked on it, I mean the one where the Faustus is now named the GTM Daedalus). Any ideas? Thanks...

it was an FS1 mod made by Dark, it's in the VW archives

they should, there the same file types and everything, the skins are anyway, you may have to do a bit of simple POF editing

the thing I dident like about that mod is if you look at the Hippocrates it isent all white with red crosses around it and it could look just like any other ship and I think that makes it look more like a medical ship or if you dont want it to be a medical ship, it dosent have to be, its all in the first 3 letters  :nod:

I converted the ships (I'm gonna use 'm myself). The originals were the Faustus, Chronos, TAC1 and Elysium. No tbl files present.

I renamed both the models and the maps so that you don't have to overwrite the old ones.

I seem to remember that there was a problem with the Daedalus, in that its radar thing didn't spin, am I right?

That should be easy to fix.  Modview or PCS would cure that bug in about 10 seconds.

It couldn't be, it was just texture changes.

No, I did have the problem, you see while the model name was changed, the subsystem names weren't. Thus, when ships.tbl looked up science81.pof, or whatever, and tried to find the subsystem to spin all it could find was radar-science01. Or something like that anyway.
