Title: Steam user with OpenAL problems

Steam user sb.blair, trying Diaspora, asks "What is this OpenAl it says it needs and where do I find one?"
Can someone maybe hop in there and help him out?  I'm a good referrer, but not a good troubleshooter.  :)
