Title: How do you play a new campaign?
Post by: CT27 on June 28, 2014, 02:08:51 am
What I mean by the question is:

Let's say a campaign you've really been looking forward to comes out and let's say it's 30 missions (or something similar, in any case you know how many missions there are).  Do you play the campaign quickly or do you play it more slowly to try and stretch out the enjoyment?

I generally might play a couple missions every other day or so to try and enjoy it longer.

I start with the intent on finishing it quick, end up playing until 3-5 re-tries (in total) or 10 missions or so - whichever comes first, stop take a break, then forget to ever go back and finish the campaign. :nervous:

Depends on mod. Only very well polished projects like Ancient-Shivan War, Blue Planet or Vassago's Dirge are enough absorbing for me, to take me deep into the universe, feel and storyline of the mod I'm playing. As projects like this are rare and most of the mods are developed by newbie modders, I'm playing them slowly and with breaks. 3-5 missions, and than a break for a day-two. Some of the mods I have were started even year ago, and never finished. The best mods are few hours of constant fun.
