Ugggh...spyware. I care about intellectual property rights...however....I also care about my and everyone elses privacy. Protecting one right does not justify the abolishment or ignorance of another.
-
Meh... Privacy, particularly online privacy, is a myth anyways so whats the big deal?
-
Ugh, Gamespot used to be my favorite gaming site years ago, but it seems to really be going down the drain now... :doubt:
-
I never use gamespot for downloading anyways, their so slow.
-
And of course, you have to pay for it. :p

Spyware? Bah, I tweak a few settings on my personal firewall and I don't even need to worry about the things.
Plus I go digging in my registry every now and then to look for...unauthorized additions. :D

LavaSoft Ad-Aware is an automatic program for doing that kind of thing. You can get it at www.lavasoft.de - and it's good. :)
However, since 'bots probably trawl these very forums for our ICQ numbers and so on, I doubt that there's any privacy. Besides, over here the government is allowed to store and access your internet records - or rather, is trying to do so.

...Which is why I don't have mine displayed. Anywhere. :D

Eh, I don't really care about that. If there's anything that I don't want people to know about I just use heavy PGP encryption or something similar. As for spamming, I block messages from people not on my list on ICQ, and I use Spamguard to block email spam, pretty effective tool.
