Title: Call for texture artists (old "new heavy frigate" post)
Post by: whitearrow on August 20, 2014, 08:25:19 am
Hi guys! Here I am to find a skilled texture artist who is willing to work on my UEF heavy frigate (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84699.0 (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84699.0)).
The ship has been completely (except for weapons) UV unwrapped, but now I am stuck: I did a basic texture attempt but I feel the ship deserves a better job, which I'm not currently able to provide. So if there is someone who is interested in picking up the texturing job, just PM me or write here above and we'll make arrangements. Of course, I won't surrender and sooner or later I will try to make my own version, but it will take a long time and I would like to speed things up a little bit.

Now, I'm going to start studying the tables wiki and other stuff needed to do the conversion to the game.

Thanks in advance!

UV the weapons as well and I'll consider it. It does look pretty cool, and I'm willing to texture cool stuff.

You will have to set turret setup again. It's old modders rule: Mapping first, turret placement next. I think You don't want to uvwrap each turret separatly :P.

Thanks for your interest! tell me everything else you need. Currently, I can provide only the 3d model and UV maps. There are no LODs and debris yet...

Thank you!

PS: a few details: those two files are in .blend format. If you need any other type of file just ask here below.
the red emission stripes you can see on the hull are due to the fact that this ship is a hybrid of UEF and Shivan tecnology. This is just my idea, but anyone should feel free to give his own interpretation...
