Hey All,
No one has replied about converting the Lightwave models I have to .POF or whatever we need to use them (list includes: Whitestar, Shadow Battle Crab, Scout and Fighter) I'd really like help with this to add them to my collection. Just wanted to remind people that I have them and they are for the asking. ICQ me.
I also have a model question. Can a .pof model be resized? The galactica model I have is TOO SMALL!!! I tried to dock with it and I can't even get into the bay LOL... It needs to be at least 2 or 3 times bigger. Was it the poly count maybe that deterimined the original size???? I have no model knowledge at all so though I have the programs now I don't know/have the talent for using them. :(
Still need help expanding the Galactica mod ship wise (base star , civillian fleet ships ect..)
If anyone has any other series models available I'd appreciate them (Arcadia, Nadesico, Yamato/Argo)
also with the success of the Quadrano Female battle Armor (it took my breath away!) Has anyone else made other robot armors??? I especially want Getter Robo G/Star Dragon (my namesake)... Gundam/Battletech ect... L8tr.

I know of no way to resize a pof as a pof, but if you have Pof Constructor Suite and ModelView32 you can do the following:
1) Convert the pof to cob.
2) Go to PCS's Conversion menu and select Options.
3) Change the scaling factor appropriately (you'll have to play with this until you get it how you want it).
4) Covert the cob back to pof and save it using a different filename than the original pof.
5) Open your new pof in ModelView and check its size. If you are unhappy with its size, try again.
6) When you are happy with the size of the thing, you'll have to redo the pof data (turrets, paths, etc.). Use the original pof as a guide, but making sure to adjust all you numbers according to the change in conversion scaling factor that you used (e.g. if the new model is twice as long as the original, make all the Z values twice the original values).

question about ship creation...
in truespace, does the main hull have to be only ONE object?
or can it be several objects, glued as siblings?

Only use one object as the main hull. Only if you are absolutely compotent in model creation should you try making seperate objects for the hull. No combined primatives!
