Many of you will recall that I have a daughter who had a stroke when she was born. Ten years ago, she had a shunt put in her head, yes, brain surgery. Well on Wednesday we found out that the shunt was broken. a new one needed to be put in, and the surgery was scheduled for Friday. She went through the surgery, her mother and I were exceedingly worried, as were her grandmother and sister. Well, make this long story short, there were absolutely no problems with the surgery, and a few hours later she gets her bed wheeled back into the room, where we all are, and she is awake. The nurses are hooking her up to everything, and she looks at her mother, then her grandmother, then her sister, and last, me. The first words out of her mouth are...."Can I have a Big Mac?"
She had only been out of brain surgery for about three hours, and I had no idea what the doctors would say. What was I supposed to do?
She got a damned Big Mac.

I think that kid deserves a medal for being hilariously awesome

I think after a situation like that, if she'd asked for a gold-plated unicorn, I would have made a damned good effort to find one ;)
So pleased things worked out well, and wishes for a speedy return to normality for your family.

Very cool news, ShadowWolf. Glad everything worked out so well. :)

Just when we thought she was in the clear, yesterday hit with over 20 seizures for the kid. Not much to say past that.

Oh my, our thoughts are with you ShadowWolf. :(

Sorry to hear that.

I really don't know what to say other than that my thoughts are with you.

How is she now?

I also know someone who has suffered seizures recently.
My condolences.
