Personally the concept's never really jumped out as me as something I really want to see made. I mean I never crowdfund anyway, but clearly I'm not the only one who feels that way.

The placeholder designs look straight out of Wing Commander. :) Not that it's a bad thing, though. I like the visual style. I'm not jumping into the alpha, though. It could be a really great game, or it could end up a complete flop. They're using an interesting concept, but it might be though to do right.
