Nvidia have come up with an excellent way of drawing attention to their new voxel-based lighting system that allows for real time Global Illumination calculations; use it to help disprove Moon-Landing conspiracies.

Whether you agree with their position or not, it's a masterful way to both draw attention and simultaneously showboat your new GPU, and the video itself is fascinating to watch :)

How dare they pander to people who enjoy watching Buzz Aldrin punch assholes.

That video starts way past all the interesting stuff. If you have only 2 minutes to watch, start here:
-
Crysis 2 had global illumination in 2010, just FYI :P
-
ah, so they just faked it, which proves that they couldn't have faked it. I see.
/*poe's law*/

Yeah, but this time they used Unreal Engine 4, so it's extra legit.

I believe it's in response to the argument that Buzz Aldrin was too well illuminated when descending in the shadow of the lander, and therefore there must have been stage lighting outside of the shot.
The simulation here, which the dude was very specific to say is only possible to do with modern technology, proves that the albedo of the moon and a single light source resulted in the lighting of Buzz and all the little bits on the lander.
Also, Mythbusters covered this by making a mock-up of the scene using simulated moon dust.

I will never trust global illuminati liars and their fake illumination techniques.
-
So I'm not the only one who keeps misreading that as Global illuminati then. :p

And VOXEL is just an acronym for the Victorious Order of eXtremely Evil Leaders!
It all makes sense now! ;)

Count me in as well, that name is too cool not to be real!
