Initially I was playing FSPort with MediaVPs 2014, but sometimes during a mission my game would suddenly pause and crash back to the desktop without warning. I'm running my FSO with 3.7.2 RC4. And I got myself the unofficial MVPs 2014 patch to go with it.
So after having this problem, I decided to go back to MediaVPs 3.6.12, since I ran that without a hitch previously (on 3.7.0 if I recall). Unfortunately, I'm still having this issue of sudden crashing. It happens on both FSPort & ST:R, hence the long title.
Frustrating, it is.
I'm submitting two files here: my fsopen.log file & an error I got when I ran the DEBUG exe.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
UPDATE: For some reason, after removing the MVPs 2014 unofficial patch, I now find myself with another issue. It's been included as Error Log 2.
UPDATE 2: Sorry for the inconvenience; after pressing No once or twice when the message in Error Log 2 comes up, the game runs fine. Will write again to report if the game randomly crashes or not. Again, sorry to bother :ick:
UPDATE 3: Well, that was quick :S I ran ST:R and loaded the "save the Karnak" mission, and I get hit with another error message. It is included as Error Log 3. Any help is greatly appreciated :(

Bump. Can someone help please? :(

Dunno if it is the reason of crash but...
I don't see tango_fs1.vp (http://fsport.freespacemods.net/releases/tango_fs1.zip) in fsport folder.

Can you try the latest nightly build (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=173.0)?

Good grief! Thanks for pointing that out. Will get the .rar file and add it to my FSPort directory. Will report back here if anything.
Thank you! :) ;)

Wouldn't re-running the FS2installer make sure all the files are there and in the proper place?

I'd love to, but with limited access to the Internet except when I'm on campus, that's a difficult thing to do :(
