Title: Cycle Primary Weapon Rate?

The default is 'O' (not zero, but the letter 'o'), and as far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything. Have you ever used this? When does it do something? Is it only for certain primaries?

This applies to the retail SP campaign.

It'll only work if the ship has the "dynamic primary linking" flag (which retail ships won't have), and it'll toggle the firing pattern; for example if the bank has 4 firepoints, it'll toggle between 1x4 (chained fire, one firepoint at a time), 2x2 (paired shots) and 4x1 (regular salvo fire).

yep, seems to have been included in the new pilot code commit, so would have been in FSO since 3.7.0

Oh, I didn't know that it's not a part of the retail FS2. It has been several years since the last time I played it.
