While playing elite dangerous i was thinking of the good old days playing the wing commander titles. I did play freespace too but never bought freespace 2.
Someone on the elite dangerous forums linked the freespace open project.

It is very nice that one can play this old game with updated graphics now! I am enjoying the original campaign with mvp 2014 now before trying one of the many new playermade ones. I can even play this ancient game with 3 monitors at 5920x1080 resolution without broken hud!

Thanks to everyone who put effort into this project.
