Merry Christmas Everyone!
Went out and got myself a new workbench for my projects, and will be happily building it over the upcoming weekend.
Also, just for reference:

3 different people gifted me a shower gel. Not sure if that's just an easy gift or if they're trying to imply something.
Spent my Christmas Eve with my father and his current girlfriend working on an old Voodoo 5 5500 card(for fun of course, nobody's going to actually use that relic). They both have a master's in engineering and I'm currently studying computer science at a university. Looks like the Frankenstein's monster now, as we used aluminium foil to connect some wires and the twin fans are held in place by screws of different colours and toothpicks. Found an ABIT BP6 mainboard to test the thing, it even worked(somehow). Not very Christmas-y, but it was still fun.
My sister was not amused, as she's the black sheep who's studying sociology.

So far have avoided crippling depression attacks. Only mild general sadness. Probably helps that I had almost zero hope for meaningful contact this year.

Oh yes
yes yes yes yes yes

FS2 at 144HZ. Holy ****
beamzors never looked so good!
-
Eh? Don't higher framerates screw with beam damage calculations since it's calculated per-frame? The balance might get a little weird when the beams are doing 2.4 times more damage.
Or maybe that only applies to sub 60 framerates, I really wouldn't know.
-
No, the game is smarter than that, otherwise beam damage would be all over the place. Framerate only becomes a problem when it's less than 5.88 per second, either through the game slowing to a crawl, or by increasing time compression above 8x or 16x.

Hope all of you had an excellent Christmas! :)

Happy Holidays and post-Christmas to you all!
Because I don't give a damn regarding origins of holidays, as long as I get to mooch a free day off~
