Title: FSPort crashes after basic training

I completed the basic training without any problems, but when I try to start the nest mission, the game crashes and I get this error message:

If you want to play ASW, select that mod in the launcher. It will automatically load any required mods as well.

I was just about to post the same query, and I'm delighted to report that the same fix worked for me, too. 

I installed using the FreeSpaceOpenInstaller.jar I downloaded yesterday, so this may be an installer problem.

Maybe I have should have downloaded it from here.

That is a mistake in the mod install file for ASW, they found. ASW has been removed until the mod install file is fixed.

Hi, I got the same error after Basic Training. The error message gives me the Option to Close the game or to "Break into Debugger". I Chose this Option and get back to game, to the Command briefing. But then I can't click the continue-button. F2 (Options) and the error keys are working. But nothing more. I'm using wxLauncher with FS_Open 3.7.1 Build 11204. FS2 Retail Campaign works fine with MVP_2014. And the logfile was last time changed three days ago. And I have no ASW Directory.

This problem would be caused by ASW VP files being in the Freespace 2 root directory instead of their own directory, so that's not exactly telling us you're not having the same problem.

Found root pack 'C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeSpace2\fsport\fsport-hi_res.vp' with a checksum of 0x9b3bb212FSPort 3.4 (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=84358.0) doesn't have this file. Delete it.
Use FreeSpace Open Installer or download manually latest FSPort.
And move FreeSpace2 outside C:\Program Files (x86)

I have deleted the file and moved the directory. No Change, the mouse is not usable in the Command briefing screen. I tried out to delete the tango_hi1_fs1.vp (1-5). It didn't works. Does someone know, which button on the keyboard I have to press to continue?

"\fsport\fsport3_4.vp" seems to be missing.

EDIT: Also "\mediavps_3612\MV_Root.vp"

Now I got it. Every file is in it's right directory. I had to make a new Pilot but that's all. Finally I can save the Orff like i've done in 2002.
