(Note because this is so late, the deadline January screencap contest will be Feb 28th)

Did you use notepad this time?
Decent news. I eagerly await BtA.
I am interested to hear more about this ship class texture replacement.
Now what's this screencap script? I may decide to take some pretty pictures

Dusk wars is set on Pandora or Endor? ??

All we know is your not in Kansas anymore :P
Another well done newsletter Axem, always a good read to keep the interest in FreeSpace up.

Somehow I overlooked that crossover campaign. Sounds interesting :)

Hey I have two points in Screenshot Contest :P
Very nice one. I really like the new form of newsletters on the main site. Looks like semi-proffesional article on some big gaming portal :D

This means that you can specify textures on a per-ship-class basis, in ships.tbl. It removes the need to either use a separate model with different textures or specify the replacement textures on a per-ship-occurrence basis in every mission. It's the last remaining feature to be merged from Taylor's Xt branch.
Taylor's original feature actually replaced the ship textures on the ship class, so that they would use the new textures in the lab and the tech room. I'm still working on integrating that part of his patch; it's tricky because a lot of changes have been made to the code since then. In the meantime, the feature just acts as a wrapper around per-mission texture replacement.

In case anyone is wondering, BtA will taste sour with a pinch of smokey.

Endor is overrated and I'm racist towards blue people, especially those damn Awoken...
Well done Axem, your journalism is as fabulous as always.

We are so close to release, I can taste it. When finished, it will come with a re-release of the 2 mission demo... fully voiced this time.
