You know....I've never played ST
Hmmmmmmmm

I got my copy at walmart in october
i got my lady her copy at hastings the same day. had to order fs2 on ebay.
The fs 1 is the set that they list. funny thing about it though, FS comes as ver 1.06, then you instal ST and you are down to ver 1.04, so inorder to play multiplayer after you instal ST, you have to go update your version.
You'd think someone would have caught that.

Fs1 didn`t sell badly. It was FS2 that didn`t sell well. Unfortunately interplay aren`t bright enough to figure out that no one buys a game that no one knows about.
-
not too surprising, cause some new combat sims have come ut recently, and people have probably said that fs1 was better to people with a new one...
-
Incredible how many older games are up there! Icewind Dale II is the only game more than $20-- I guess Interplay hasn't had any good new releases recently. Sucks to be them.

Haw!

you're not missing anything... it's got a couple of poorly thrown together missions with no real point to them.

Depends what version of the Freespace 1 CD you have... one of the earlier versions would probably be ver 1.01 or something, but when they released Silent Threat (on the CD) they were probably at ver 1.04... but if you have the Battlepack, you'll notice that on the Silent Threat CD it has a folder called "patch"... and inside, is the version 1.06 patch on it (depending what version you have)... it all depends when the CD was released... i guess

actually they released Baldurs Gate II a few months ago didn't they?
and BG: Dark Alliance...
Hunter: The Reckoning
i dunno!

BG2 was released about about a year ago. Perhaps more.
Neverwinter nights was just released, but I'm not sure how much Interplay had to do with it.
-
It took me ages to find FS2, nobody seemed to stock it for about a year after it was released!
-
I just saw it at wal-mart
-
Its a well known fact interplay used stealth technology on the FS2 box.
-
What's really sad is they only have one game over $20 in their top 10 list! And I suspect most of the jewel cases are being sold at Wallyworld. I know they disappear fast at my local store(s).

And the local AWACS has left...
One thing that's very interesting is that many of the space sim awards go to Freespace 2...yet very frequently, people are oblivious to its very existence.

I just assumed it had done well until I saw it in the bargin bin a few months later. Such a shame, but apparently space games just dont sell. And the fact that it was never taken over to the consoles means it probably hardly made any money.
Oh well, theres no accounting for the taste of the masses I guess.
