I am a huge transformers fan but I also loved the Gobots TV series, sort of my guilty pleasure. But its almost impossible to get in the UK. Does anyone know where to get the whole series in the UK? Had the same problem getting TF prime in the UK as hasbro said there wasnt a market in the UK to release full series on DVD which is bollocks. Also it seems the gobots could be getting a reboot as well.

No idea bug, but I watched a bit of it too in my youth many many years ago.

Region-free DVD players aren't all that hugely expensive (also there are questionably-legal means of making a DVD drive region-free), so if there's a US release out there, it might be worth importing that.

Or just watch on the computer, if you have a good monitor. I don't think region-locking works in PC DVD drives.

That's an interesting perspective, Dragon - there have been a few things I've watched that won't natively work on US players; therefore, I guess I should look into that.
As an aside, whoever invented the region restrictions on media needs to be hit by a bus. Or several of them.

Every DVD drive I've installed in a PC, I've had to set the region. You can usually change it 5 times before you have to do a firmware hack to unlock it again. Of course it's probably not hard to find a way to make it region free altogether.

Odd, I never had to do that. Granted, the drives I use are not cutting-edge stuff, but they're reasonably fast. Perhaps it's an US thing. Even in that case, though, changing this on a PC is likely much easier than with a DVD player.

IIRC some drives are region-free.
EDIT: Some info, and some guidance on (possibly) making your drive region-free (not sure if it would work with blu-ray; also, drives before 2000 didn't have region protection). http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/rpc1.htm
