As I understand it, Star Citizen is eventually going to have some serious mod support. If there a plan in mind to have sections of the forums and or Hard Light devoted to Star Citizen? Creating that as a concrete part of Hard Light, I'd imagine, could be pretty important given how vibrant the HLP modding community has been over the years.
I found this thread for the HLP SC brigade:

Still, that's not exactly being ready for modding SC, which is going to have some wicked stuff to work with. Not sure how much we've all looked into it - I'm certainly no expert and have only really followed Star Citizen at a glance.

Unless they start to make a FS themed mod for SC, i doubt it.
Its Freespace oriented community after all... and i think that modding FS takes enough time as it is.

It largely depends on the tools available when SC releases. If they ship with a mission editor and a reasonably easy to handle asset pipeline, I think there's going to be a lot of mods happening in short order. If they don't, well, prospects get a little less rosy, if you know what I mean.

There was also the Unofficial Dogfight Module (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=86331.0), an example of an SC-related mod for FSO.

Don't you mean...more thorny?
