Title: Two Questions
Post by: Lt. Spanks on March 20, 2015, 05:56:05 pm
Two questions...
I try to play the main FS2 campaign, but it wont let me switch campaigns from Templar to FS2, it gives me a "no" sound whenever i click the "choose" button.

How do i get rid of the really weird lighting when a ship covers up the sun; or is there any way to just tone it down a whole bunch. I looked through the Launcher command lines but I'm not sure which one might help with that.

How are you getting Operation Templar and FreeSpace 2 in the same campaign list?

You mean lightshafts (http://www.hard-light.net/wiki/index.php/Command-Line_Reference#-nolightshafts)?

There was some version of FS2 that shipped with Operation Templar as  a single player campaign. It was never rebalanced from multi, but it did work.

Well, then, assuming it's otherwise standard retail, then the only reason for switching to the FreeSpace 2 campaign to fail would be because mission_campaign_next_mission() failed, and the only reason for that to fail would be because there is no "next mission" for it to load up; if memory serves, I think this means you've beaten the campaign.

You could try clicking on the FS2 campaign, then hit the restart button (the star) and only then select the campaign as active.

Edit: Damn it... how did I just misspell campaign twice in a single sentence? And in two different ways to boot  :shaking:

Edit: Fixed it... just created a new pilot...
