This is one of the most exciting things I've done as a modeler (even though I've only been a modeler for about 4 days). Here is a corvette that will be featured in System Madness II. I call it the ECCv Epimetheus. It has 15 turrets and 1 fighterbay. Let me know you guys's thoughts. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Thats actually a little under-gunned for a corvette, at least compared to the Deimos' twenty turrets. Your ship is a lil bigger than a Deimos too, so it should have a lil more firepower. Maybe you should steal some of the Phobos' turrets, then you'd have two balanced ships >;P

Ok. I'll add a few more... how's 5 sound? I don't want to do many more at one time because it's kind of a pain to go through making paths for the new ones. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)

You wouldn't even see a corvette if there were that many!

hmmm true... the poly count would be enormous... and you would get blown away instantly and it would take forever to do it

Nah. It wouldn't take forever. Just do about 15 turrets a day and it should turn out in a short time. I did the corvette design AND turrets AND pof editing within just a few hours, and that was only with 15 turrets. Just think if you spent every day on it...

Update: It seems that this model is a failure. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/frown.gif)
The Freespace engine doesn't like polys intersecting each other. When they do, it makes parts of the model able to be flown through them.
I'll also consider this as a gain of wisdom. Next time I won't make the same mistake. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/wink.gif)
