I was playing the campaign "Renegade Resurgence" and ran into an issue during gameplay.
I changed the mod file to "MediaVPs_2014" like I've done with numerous other campaigns so I could play with the latest/prettiest looking graphics. I never got an error screen so I thought things were going to be fine.
I played through a few missions and everything looked good except when I got to a mission with the Hatshepsut. The Hatshepsut looked like it's 'normal FS2' light brownish self instead of the 2014 version with all the yellow stripes and whatnot. (Other Vasudan models, including the Sobek, had their 'current' look).
Has anyone had a problem like this before where only one model doesn't display correctly? It's not a gamebreaking bug (I can still play missions fine) but I'd like to get the most current version of the Hatshepsut if possible.
Any suggestions?

Don't have the mod in question in front of me, but this kind of bug normally results from the campaign designer including a retail pof, typically so that he can make some kind of minor change, like a new dockpoint or subsystem. Not much you can do about that unless you have a look at the included Hat model, identify the changes, and manually duplicate then on the media VP model.

For what it's worth, here's the campaign.

I haven't seen a mission that needed a new dockpoint or subsystem yet.
Two questions:
1-Should I bother trying to find a download of the newer Hatshepsut (yellow stripes and all that) and put it in /models to maybe try to 'override' the problem?
2-I saw the campaign author was TopAce. Is he still around the forum?

You could try to remove the offending model from the VP file. That would give the mediavps version precedent, right?
That might break a mission that depends on the old Hatshepsut, but whatever; who cares.
edit: do it and see what insane things happen!

I'd advise just sticking with the old model as-is, rather than trying to fiddle around with it.

I had to duplicate the Hattie's POF because its engine subsystems were floating above the hull instead of being place on top of it, making Stiletto and Akheton hits against the engines much, much less effective than against other capships. One of the missions requires you to disable a Hattie, and back when I was making that mission (2002 perhaps), simply fixing the .pof and placing it in the /models/ folder (later .vp file) seemed the best idea.

Thanks for the help guys.
