Title: Dear developers/publishers at E3...
Post by: MP-Ryan on June 17, 2015, 09:24:02 pm
...**** you.

No, really.

I know you people love making brilliant games. The problem is, one of your core demographics is getting increasingly older and no longer has the time to dedicate to playing all of them.  Furthermore, you can't all just agree to release one good title per year nad make the rest crap... oh nooo, you have to go and keep one-upping yourselves.

So this is me pleading: stop!

Sincerely,

Every young dad/mom who plays games.

---

In all seriousness, my wishlist of unpurchased/unreleased-but-want-games currently stands at the following:
1.  Dragon Age Inquisition (waiting on a PC upgrade)
2.  Witcher 3 (ditto)
3.  Transistor
4.  Deus Ex: mankind Divided
5.  Dishonored 2
6.  Pillars of Eternity
7.  Elite: Dangerous
8.  XCOM 2
9.  ME: Andromeda
EDIT: ****ity ****. 10. Rise of the Tomb Raider.

My backlog is currently:
- Borderlands 2 DLC
- The Witcher
- The Witcher 2
- Metro 2033 (got it free)
- Wings of Dawn
- XCOM: EW (Impossible playthrough + one more for the final two Steam achievements because I'm an OCD idiot).
- Baldurs Gate 1&2

At this rate, I should finish off the current backlog+want list sometime in 2025.  Argh.  I know, I know, first-world problems. STILL.

Psh, my backlog's at least 150 games of various lengths and qualities.  Probably more if I look at the console side of things.  Who needs money?

I'm still trapped in Witcher 3 land.  In order to break this curse, you'll require the Dust of Cheetos, the remains of my grandfather, and an object symbolizing dynamic hair simulation.

Yep, I'm always also a lot bummed out that there's just too many good things in the world that I won't get to enjoy. Worse still, *others* will enjoy it! CURSE THEM! CURSE THEM ALLLLLLLL!

My backlog includes dragonage 1, resistance 2 and 3, skyrim,  supreme commander add on and starcraft 2, not to mention war in heaven act 2 and all freespace campaigns of the last three years.

I forgot ffxi (magicite and judges?) and the one with lightning and it's sequel...

FFXII. FFXI was the first MMO.

and the one with lightning and it's sequel...
FFXIII, usually described as having a 24-hour-long tutorial.

Let's not forget Final Fantasy XV. It's the first Final Fantasy that I actually want to play.

I have never legitimately played through the entire original Descent.  Or Doom.  So yeah. :p

I have a huge backlog too, but I don't really mind. By the time I get around to playing a new title, it's a year old and I can get it for $15 or less, with all the bugs patched up. I might have to make an exception for the new Deus Ex game though. Human Revolution was probably the only game in the last 10 years that I got and played immediately at release.

I have Pong on my backlog

I call bull****. :p

Seriously though, I have a copy of StarCraft and I have installed and started playing it on at least three occasions but failed to actually finish it because of issues with my computer. I keep meaning to actually get it finished and even brought the CDs with me to China so that one day I can do so. So it is legitimately a backlog game.

All three Descents are in mine.  Played all three, never finished any of them.  Unless you count the shareware version of 1.
