In long drawn out arguments, often good points will be ignored simply because they have been repeated too many times and they become a symbol into themselves. If you want to try and change a person's mind you have to keep coming at it from different directions, and you need to frame it as if it was one of their memes.
For example using gun rights language and arguments to demonstright institutionalized racism:
now that's not to say that I completely agree with the vid and that there was nothing it did wrong, but it demonstraights the basic principal of what you have to do if you want to change minds.
