Hi everyone, I need some help!
I started the FS 2 campaign again, with the nice and shiny MediaVP 2014, and all good until the mission 'A Lion at the Door'. The problem is, that the Carthage, that supposed to be an Orion, is a Ulysses. The mission start the warning, that it unable to find 1 ship, aaaand the GTD Orion is not even in the techroom.
I used the FSOInstaller to download and install the mods (very nice lil program, much easier than manually ). Earlier I used the previous MediaVPs and I haven't got this problem. I know that it was mentioned here before, but I can't remember the solution and too lazy to search through so much topics ;).

Please post your fs2_open.log file. Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Well that is a new one, the debugger closed the game after that... :banghead:
I hope this will be it. I use Win7 but I didn't found such a 'virtualized' folder, so I grab this from the main folder from data.

Do you have any loose .tbl files in \data\tables or in mediaVPs_2014\data\tables?
-
Loose .tbl no, but both in the normal (retail?) FS2 data and in the MediaVP_2014, the ships.tbl has got just this 'GTD Orion#2 (Bastion)'.
-
Ookay, I remove all of the downloaded ships .tbm files, and the turret problem disappeared, so it seems that I have to download some of them again :sigh:. BUT the original problem remains and I have the log!

So you do have .tbl files in \data\tables or mediaVPs_2014\data\tables? That's what Goober meant by "loose .tbl files." If you do have any in those folders, remove them.
-
Yeah, .tbl files are tables and .tbm files are modular tables. Either ones can cause all kinds of wibbly wobbly if you're not careful.
-
Okay, I got that now and cleared the folders, but I still have the basic problem: The GTD Carthage is still a Ulysses instead of an Orion :(
Edit: The reinstall the MediaVPs_2014 solved this issue. I am grateful the help, and now I know what means the .tbm! ;)
