So here's my problem. I was playing Blue Planet: AoA and noticed some parts of ships were invisible and such. I thought nothing of it, but when an entire ship is invisible, save for the name plate, that's when it becomes a real problem for me. Just about every custom ship used on AoA is missing a texture somewhere, and I've done just about all I could think to do do.
Attached is a screenshot. (I'd screenshot the Sanctuary/Orion Refit, but there's nothing but a nameplate to screenshot.)

Please post your fs2_open.log file. Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Here it is. I just made a .txt file and copied it there to attach it, dunno how else to do it, I'll admit I'm new to using the forums.

Your installation of the 2014 MediaVPs is corrupted.

Coulda sworn I redownloaded those already...
Ah, well, guess I'll just redownload them again. Thanks for the help, man.
-
Redownloaded them. Seemed like the second time was also corrupted. (Or third, I should say.)
Got anymore suggestions for me?
-
I just tried a couple of download links in the release thread (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=86475.0) and they seemed to be working. Can you try downloading the MediaVPs manually?
-
Well, that fixed the missing model textures. Still got a problem with the textures disappearing and becoming transparent when something, say, opens a subspace portal, or a really damaged ship has electricity move across it.
-
That sounds a lot like problems with the shaders. Can you run the debug build through a mission (preferably one where you know issues turn up) and then post the log from that here?
-
I ran it on a regular campaign mission using the MediaVPs, not a Blue Planet mission. It happens just the same on either one.

Hmmm. Nothing springs out as an immediate cause there, but could you try running the game with the -no_glsl commandline parameter regardless (It's called "Disable shader support" in the Launcher's troubleshooting section)?
Also, for future reference: Please do not ever cut anything from the log. Do not take this personally, but you do not know what is important and what isn't; you could inadvertently end up cutting out the important bits.
In addition, there is no need to do this whole "copy the text from the log file into another file and post that" thing, the attachment selector should be able to let you attach the log files to your posts directly.

Sorry 'bout that. Still new to that.
I'll try a mission without using Shader support and see how it turns out.
Update-
Seems that was the problem, it's all fine now. No texture disappearances.
