Post by: mikeva1 on July 14, 2015, 12:19:49 pm
MCO installed the Mission Editor but it does not work.

C:\MechCommanderOmnitech\EditRel.exe
"this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix the problem"

Where is it installed? As in, you probably shouldn't install to any path that requires admin privileges to make changes. I installed MCO to straight c:\\MCO and it's working fine. I'm also using Win 7 64 Pro, I've heard some people having problems with MCO and 8.

The error message indicates that it does not find the correct Visual Studio runtime file.

This is strange - I also installed MCO on a Win7 computer using the same installer I used for my XP computer. After installinh the C++ package that comes with the installer, the Mission Editor works just fine. Very strange.

I should have added that the C++ did not auto-install. I had to manually install it.
