How much blurring are you putting on these images? I am not a fan of blurred stuff .

I was using about 0.7 Gaussian blurr to soften the edges of the ships and textures.  I'll remember to use less next time.

I am also not a fan off blured iamges, but because they are black and whit images the blur makes it look good.

hey let the man use blur and black and white - its more artistic than just sitting the cain in the middle of the image

Well its not the blur itself that bugs me, its the _amount_ of blur... its a little excessive...

I use blur for the same reason he does: otherwise the edges and lines on textures, look a bit too sharp, especially if those lines are slanted.

Advice : Use layers. That way when you use blur you only have to use it on one part of the pic (here it could be the Cain).
