I would like to know if there is anyway to install FS2 on one computer multiple times. I like to do this so I can have a seperate version for the fs1 port and the B5 project, plus a clean copy. If you have any idea how to do this, please let me know.

u can. just install it different folders

yep, i did this. Dont use the auto run, find the setup.exe on whichever cd it's on and set a new directory. I'm not sure whether or not you need a full install though. I did but i doubt it's nessicary. The auto function play will now use the last install of freespace.

i don't see the point in doing that, just create three versions of the "data" directory (for example: dator, datab5, datafs1p) then when you want to play one version change the name of the relative data folder (for example, wanna play b5? change name of dir "datab5" to "data" and launch game;) )

I did have the double install at one point but I went over to something similar to Karma's suggestion after a reinstall (I understood how FS2 worked much better by then).
It works very well and is almost as easy as the double install. Plus it takes up less space.

Thanks, I'll give it these a try.

Well, I favor the multiple installs just to be safe.
Just make shortcuts from the desktop that lead to the right folders...

This is amusingly pointless. Truly you must have hard disk space to burn.
