Is using segeltuch a bad idea?

Well nothings really a bad idea... except pherhaps creating an anarchy star out of blood in your basement and summoning the minions of the damned to do your evil apocalytic chaos.

And allowing Richard Simmons within 800km of anywhere you plan to be anytime in your life.

no it's a little worse

segeltuch is bad,
it's made from the intestines of baies,
and the spinal fluid of elderly mothers,

use PCS,
becase PCS stands for famly values
and childeren,
if you don't use PCS then you hate childeren,
you don't hate childeren do you?

Segeltuch is slightly easier for Newbies and does allow for relatively simple model editing, so long as you only want to delete portions of existing models.

Anyway, in seriousness Bob is one of the most qualified persons when it comes to FS modding so I'd trust him. :nod:

I used to use Segeltuch for my shields.........but I learned this morning how to make shields in trueSpace 5.1, so Segeltuch is now going in the Obelisk of Light shaped Recycle Bin. :D

I used to have C&C and RA icons for all the desktop stuff, but I took them off since then because there is almost nothing on my desktop these days. :D

I have segeltuch. I really wanted to use it to hack of some stuff from some of the fs1 ships. Like take off two engines, and some guns from the valkyrie, you got an Angel scout fighter. How can I do that?

I suck at using Truespace. Besides. I already hacked of the thrusters. I have a pretty good explanation why the engine stubs are there.
