ok, i did the stupid lil tutorial in FRed that makes the mara fighter and i saved it and everything right and clicked run free space and i get "the system cannot find the file specified"


WHAT THE TURKEY FEATHERS (upon popular request) does that mean?? i tried opening FS2 from a diff icon and went to techroom and the mission is not there.

Help is muchly wanted, and even morely so appriciated

two different problems there

1) Due to an oversite of [V] programmers, the "Run Freespace" attempts to run the original Freespace game in the freespace 2 directory. Of course its not there, so it wont run

2) might be one of two things. First, it might not be in the right directory. The mission needs to be in data/missions. Also, make sure the custom missions tab is selected, opposed to campaign missions.

Try making a simple test mission and playing that just to see whether it is related to the game or that specific mission.

KT, cut back on the spam posts and swearing, it gets really old really fast.  As for the mission, where is your freespace2 directory and has the data/missions subdirectory been tampered with in any way?

EDIT: if you would like to spam and swear, the Rift ("http://www.warpstorm.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=6") on Warpstorm is spam dedicated; but don't spam elsewhere, not even on other parts of Warpstorm.  Spam is the anti-content, admins are the anti-spam; you don't want to anger the hammer-bearers.

So I have arcane knowlege of the dark arts, is there a problem here? :)
