What is needed in the weapons table to make a primary weapon have a kinetic effect, like the Morning Star?

(Wonder what would happen if you set an object's speed to 3*10^8 (or 2.98 or whatever lightspeed is) and then fired it across the freespace engine?)

It crashed. :(

BUT - speed of 80,000 is good. Also has some nice effects of how it knocks fighters backwards at 400m/s :)

Set a ship speed to say 1500m/s and then fire your guns, they travel at normal speed so they go behind you, let them and then stop. See if they hit you.

I think that only happens with the 'Shudder' flag.......... it's pretty neat, actually.

The Maxim has the shudder tag and it's the only weapon i recall shuddering.

Your own PRIMARY weapons. I've been blown to crap by my Needle missiles tons of times.

It's pretty easy to kill yourself with fighter supression weapons like the inferno :)

Or try using the flak guns as primaries. :nod: They seem to go bang on contact with vacuum.

Oh yes, and remember not to try those tricks with the Maxim when you have a force feedback joystick... my wrist may never be the same again :sigh:
