I've just downloaded the FreeSpace Open Installer v2.1.10 and have tried to run, but keep having a error pop-up. "There was a problem accessing remote sites. Check network connection and try again". I've had a look around to see if anyone else has had this problem or if there are any fixes, but I can't find anything. Anyone else have this problem or a fix?

Do you have a proxy?
If not, is there a proxy set up in Internet Options? If so and you don't use a proxy, uncheck the proxy box. If you do use a proxy, be sure it is properly configured in Internet Options. To get there, run this command:
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL inetcpl.cpl,,4
inetcpl.cpl ,4
This will take you to the Internet Settings / Properties dialog and open you to the Connections tab, where you can click "LAN Settings" to check your proxy configuration.
