Hiyas  new to FS and seam to be having problems installing.

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

In addition, please use either 3.7.2 Final (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?topic=89597.0) or the most recent nightly build (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php?board=173.0). 3.7.2RC3 is outdated and should not be used.

thank you for the quick response
I could not even open debug exe . i will reinstall everthing again see what happens .

 i did try redoing all the media VP files again and i did get alittle further before i got a stop working window.
 back soon :)

Ok all sort  :)

 Made two mistakes first was i add to freespace one instead of freespace2  ,the other one im not sure on but i
 swaped wxlauncher to 5.5 one and all works great  . im blowen away by the hard work you guys have done to the game

Awesome!  Glad it's solved. It could be a registry issue.  Don't worry too much, wxLauncher is generally better, but it's not strictly necessary.
