....volitionwatch? I've been trying to get in over there to get a look at modelling tutorials but it keeps giving me error messages.
-
If you posted last night...some network crazyness was happening. Either IP addresses were being moved, or data was being swaped to a new server or something but for a while VWatch was definately not available. It has been all morning for me so I assume things are back to normal.
-
Seems to be working perfectly for me too. :)

I'm being victimized damnit! :mad2:
Just because I actually need in today.... Grr!
-
Its nice to have things back to normal:D

vyper, if they did change their dns, your ISP might not have gotten the new information yet. Just wait it out.

 Their DNS? How do you change your Distributed Name Service? :p
I agree with IceFire, I think their IP changed

Domain Name Server, where their domain is sitting on.

Er...if that was the case, then this problem wouldn't come up. Large DNS servers almost never move, for fairly obvious reasons. The server that VW is on being moved is far, far more likely.

I'm too lazy to type out an explanation to him... I'll wait for someone else to.

ok...
You see... there is this magical little angel of domain name servers. When he waves his magic wand, it causes your computer to fail connection to the location where the angel of domain name server has made his home. The spell will be lifted within 48 hours.

*sigh*
 yourself. I presume, what you're saying, is that the domain name info itself has moved. If that's the case, I can see how it would work. The ISP does a nightly or bi-nightly update of their DNS information and the information has not yet been transferred over to the new DNS. This could be the result of the volitionwatch domain name being 'bought' from another organization that uses a different server. From Icefire not mentioning this, and the domain name having been renewed less than a year ago, it seemed unlikely this was the case aside from the ISP renegotiating and mass moving all their hosted sites' domain names.
Unfortunately, I was given an idiotic, condescending explanation, so I have no clue if this is what the above statement was referring to or not.

hey i just offered a suggestion. maybe his isp just sucks. or maybe the domain name server angel was slaughtered by the interNIC demon... of, of course, doom, because if its not of doom, then its not uh... wow outside, i think ill go there now.
