We're already two days into the new year and nobody's started this thread yet? I am disappoint.
I feel like the only way I can open this is with Knights of Cydonia.

Knights of Cydonia
Love that music video.

With the airing of Macross Delta's first ep as a New Year preview, came an earbug the likes of which I haven't encountered since a Nana Mizuki anime:

That's weird, I listened to it yesterday just fine. Interestingly, the next video to play was a different version of that, with a different vocalist I think:

Stay determined, lads.

I can meditate to this :D

Going through an edm phase right now.

This is a thing. I kind of like to think this is what Alpha 1 is like.

Tenth Planet - Ghosts. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBGfC4-qBsY) Just looking for songs that were in Dance Dance Revolution (the one I linked is the original version, the one used for the game is the Vincent De Moor remix.)

One Punch Man is strong OST. I don't know why your youtube links aren't working, though... they look right, but maybe double-check that you got the correct part of the address.

I may or may not have been watching Dredd back-to-back-to-back.

I'm not sure if this is actually jazz or uses a trumpet solo, but if it isn't it stole everything that could be good from both concepts.
Less amazing solos, but still pretty good.

I am listening to a Carly Rae Jepsen song.
I like it.
Send help.
Fake Edit: I like this song on...several levels.
The faux-horns solo at the start kind of had me hooked early.
Second, if you listen to it, it's not the girly bubblegum pop thing you think it is. Pay attention to that chorus. "Baby, take me to the feeling! I'll be your sinner in secret! When the lights go out! Run away with me, run away with me. Baby! Every single minute, I'll be your hero and willing! Run away with me, run away with me." Yeah we're pretty obviously not talking about puppy love here, that's sexual. This plays into a couple of things.
There's the Miley Cyrus/Selena Gomez/Demi Lovato methodology of turning from teeniebopper to actual pop star: scream "I'M AN ADULT" as hard as you can. The only one of those who's actually pulled it off is Demi, and that's because she waited a bit longer so she actually looked the part and she carried Cool For The Summer on sheer force of personality and vocal power that the other two just don't have. It's about seduction, basically, blunt and hamfisted though it may be.
This song is not. I mean, there's an offer there, but it's not all blunt force trauma and look at my boobs. It's light. It's happy. It's fun. It's even a little silly at times. And yes, it's very much sexual, but it's not only sexual; there's some togetherness, some closeness.
Cool For The Summer is the girl you pick up in a bar when you're 22.
Run Away With Me is the girl you lost your virginity with when you were 16.
You can probably tell which of those I remember more fondly and still exchange Christmas cards with.

Can't get these songs out of my head since Betrayal introduced me to this.
Also makes me want to finally finish learning my German. It's a bit frustrating to understand only one sentence out of 10.

This one by Russian activist band Pussy Riot. It satires about Prosecutor General Yury Chaika and corruption in general, just two months after Alexei Navalny released a documentary on him.
-
I've listened to this like, 17 times in a row. And probably drove my neighbor's dog nuts trying to sing it.
Except it was a lossless rip off the album played through my X-fi + 500 watt surround setup, not a crappy internet stream. Dat video tho.

Its good, but there's way too much autotune going on up in there.

This is pretty sick. I've given it a few listening to.

If your up time is more than 90% then you aren't bleeding edge enough :P

Saw the previous post and went to listen to this another time:

The lead singer for Veridia, Deena Jakoub, singing the US national anthem before a baseball game, thought it was pretty good.

At Night by Chris Malinchak. It's French House, or at least influenced by it. If anyone has more stuff like this, let me know.

I saw Baby Metal at Carolina Rebellion, which I think I've seen people talk about here. To be completely honest, I thought it was pretty stupid. It felt like a gimmick that didn't know they were a gimmick.

My favorite blow-it-off (or out-your-ass) song. This is probably a sign I'm not in a good mood about work.

"Break Stuff" by *shudder* Limp Bizkit is my go-to in similar situations. It's objectively beyond terrible, but there are certain very limited dark situations where I deem it necessary.

Heh. I understand completely; that's also on my list, for slightly different circumstances.

Listening to Lostprophets, papa roach, slipknot, drowning pool, eiffel 65, Rob zombie and scum of the earth, Rob Dougan, and Disturbed to name a few. While going to Penang.

Though Rob Dougan always gets an appreciative nod, that is...an eclectic mix.
-
Listening to Scum of the Earth's Hellbilly Deluxe while going to my gym for regular exercise.

Bits of the Tiberian Sun OST.
Deploy Machines, from Firestorm
Dusk Hour, from the original game.

Hahaha. I was just doing the same thing. I also was checking out the Twisted Insurrection mod's soundtrack:
As well as the song that Frank Klepacki himself remixed for the mod:
(I dunno how to make them have the video so I'll just post the links).
Compared to the original:
-
Some music from the Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon Special Demo Version.

I've been listening to a lot of zeuhl music lately.

Anybody played Crypt of the Necrodancer? It's a good game, with a great soundtrack by Danny Baranowsky.
This is a remix of part of that soundtrack, and my new jam:
Trigger warning if you're afraid of bees.
-
Got four new albums on Christmas.
Black Stone Cherry - Kentucky
Sixx A.M. - The Heroin Diaries
Sick Puppies - Fury
Volbeat - Seal the Deal and Let's Boogie
Only listened to Sixx A.M. so far, not nearly as good as I hoped. I guess that's what happens with concept albums (sorta), the songs themselves aren't that great musically apart from the single. Also didn't check the track list and thought more than one of their radio hits was on this one.
REALLY looking forward to Black Stone Cherry and Volbeat playthroughs. The Sick Puppies songs that made it to radio off this album are great, but I haven't 'previewed' the rest of them. Tri-Polar was a kickass complete album, but their last one whose title I don't even remember right now wasn't very good once you got away from the singles. Need the new Alter Bridge to round out my current "highly desired" list. Toying with the idea of the new Metallica album. Never been really more than a casual fan, but Moth to the Flame is really, REALLY good. The others that made it to radio aren't too bad either.

Also, goddamn. Maybe a little less embedding? I can hear my powerhouse desktop PC groaning trying to load this thread.
