Riiiiighty. I know this has probably come up many times but I can't find an answer to this question:
Where can I find a host that lets me remotely link my images so I can display them on the boards?
-
Use tripod, but rename all your .jpg (or whatever) extensions to .txt, then refrence them this way in your links. Also, remember to put up at least something resembling a site at index.html or they'll pull you for using it as an online hard drive.

Instead of putting:......./donkey/image.jpg[/img]
Put:............................../donkey/image.jpg [/img]
A lot of the anti-linking scripts can be bypassed using a space.

Will try that an0n:

guys, they use htaccess scripts to require that last url in the browser was from their domain. The only way to fool it is to clear out that url. Most of us cant do that, so the best thing is to find a better host. Unfortuatly, all the free hosts have kinda died.

Apparently the "renaming as .txt"-thingy.

Actually a combination of both....
html
img src="http://members.lycos.co.uk/vyperimages/science.txt"
html
took out the brackets to stop it from parsing. :D
