Title: no rolling with Joystick

Hello,
my name ist Michael from germany and i am a big Fan from Freespace (like everybody her :-). I like it, if a big cruiser jump into my fight and shoot through a another cruiser. This is one of my biggest moments in Videogames.

But i have a problem.
I am using the Joystick MS Sidewinder 3D pro with 3Dp-Ver (sw3dprousb). If i twist the stick, my ship should roll to left or right, but it dont. Under Windows-Config all work fine. If i start freespace2 without the loader, my ship is rolling.

Can somebody help me? Playing without rolling is not so much fun.

EDIT: With wxLauncher rollig is working. Why not with the other 2 Launcher?

I'm not sure what could be the cause of your problem, but there are a few things you could check.

1) Are you using the same pilot for every attempt?

2) For the attempts when the ship does not roll, can you go into the game Control Config (press F2) and make sure the Bank Axis has a control binding?  See the following screenshot:
