Title: New ship type

I need some help with this.  The other day while welding i came up with a ship type:

Fast Attack Boat

size...about the size of a freighter
speed........45-50
manouverability.......you don't get to pilot the thing, but it would handle like a brick, a big brick
Armament.......1 beam weapon, and the ability to launch bombs.  

So far i haven't been able to get anything to work, so i come before you once again humbled and preying on your mercy.  (damn i'm getting good at this).

Used by itself it would be nearly useless, shields are debatable, probably won't have them, no afterburners, but uses counter measures.  This would be a swarming vessel, relying on multiple guns, ie multiple ships, to take down it's target.  I was also thinking about maybe a flak turret for anti fighter defense.

If we can get it operational it will see the light of day in both the Combat Federation Mod and the demo.

ok it moves and manouvers as it should, I had hoped to copy and paste a cruiser then remove all turrets and place a beam cannon in the primary slot, and aldo's tomahawk missiles in the secondary slot.  then use the pof from another ship, it won't fire.  I am beam free all on it, and it won't fire, not the cannon, not the missiles, not anything.

I was thinking that maybe i had to put the "allowed" statements under primary and secondary, but i haven't checked it yet.

Not sure exactly what you're doing, but you can only mount beams on a turret.  Some ship types also can't fire beams.... snetry gun is one, albeit bombers work fine.  I did a beam bomber for the nightmares a while back.....

You'll need to tweak the tables to take other weapons (i.e. Subach HL:-&, Hornet, Mjolnir in turret01), though, unless you D/L the VP with the nightmare weapons in it.
