Ever notice how bellybutton fluff is always blue, no matter what color clothes you might be wearing?
-
.
-
I miss my english dictionary right now...
-
Actually, I've had red and grey bellybutton fluff, but it is most commonly blue, despite my rarely ever wearing blue.

Well, neither do I ATM, but I just took a shower today, so no surprise there. But for those younger forumites, you need some body hair before you start to develop BBF. :D

Sandwich didn't post why bellybutton fluff is most often blue.

Mostly it means you are wearing shirts so old they have already shed all their lint.
-
I don't know that you need body hair, anyway... I think I always had bellybutton lint, even when I was little.
I think lint in general tends to be bluish. Dunno why, except that it might have something to do with the fact that it's mostly just gray dust and people are more towards the red end of the scale, making it appear bluer by contrast than it is.
I think I've just found the subject of my senior research paper...:D

Ok, to bring a bit of "redeeming" content back to these posts... can anyone seriously ( :ha: ) postulate why BBF is blue the majority of the time? :D
-
mmh, that's like asking why arctarus makes 3 flips on himself when he goes into goldorak's cockpit ( if you don't understand what i mean, just forget about it :p ).
My try: the fluff is blue because of those tiny beasts! you don't see them, but they're there. they eat the fluff, but there's some that is not good for them, and it's blue. if there wasn't for those lil beasts, it'd be brown, voila :p

Not sure if this has been said before, but bellybutton fluff is always blue because blue is a very dark color, and our eyes can't discern much more than black and blue when it comes to dark colors. So our brain just labels the dark red, "blue". Green is also a sort of dark color, and soldiers in the field have been known to sometimes, rarely, get it, because they wear green 24/7.

I'd say it's because of the gnomes, but then they'd come after me. :nervous:

MDMA: methylenedioxy-n-methylamphetamine
Or to the common drug user the active ingredient in ecstasty.
...and thanks :)

You do know that DEFCON works the other way, with 1 being the highest, right?
And I always thought blue fluff comes from wearing blue jeans. Of course, that may be what the American south has done to my thinking...

HAMCON™ is exactly like DEFCON. Do you think a thread full of belly button fluff is gonna push the register up much? It merely gives me the tingle that I get when I know a thread is probably too weird to live and too rare to die.
Now the arrival of 'FreespaceMaster' well that gives us a HAMCON™ level of three. Only the imminent shutdown of the internet or a meteor heading straight for Gamespy would facilitate a HAMCON™ 1.
In the event of this happening God help me I'll get a mirror up somehow from Ireland. *Starts digging the bunker*
