Title: OT: Signs
Post by: Dark_4ce on August 04, 2002, 07:43:56 am
Wow! What can I say? This was a really REALLY good movie! I have to admit, I've never been too much of a fan of M. Night Shyamalan, but this movie is REALLY good! Its creepy as hell. YEs, it does have some HUGE plot holes and stuff. But still it's a fun movie. I recomend it.

very good movie!
I have to admit, it kept everyone on the edge of their seats pretty much the whole way through, and there were some very unexpected suprises too!  (i.e.  HIGHLIGHT: dog jumping up at the children, the hand coming from under the pantry door, etc.)

One thing that I found amusing was the soundtrack :) lol
The entire soundtrack was like the same 3 or 4 second sound clip, but at different pitches... lol :)
next time you see it pay attention to that detail!

All in all, i found it to be a very good movie!

I quite liked the soundtrack! But you're right. They really didn't play too elaborate musical ques. But that just added to creepyness. But heres a KICKASS remix of the main theme from Signs!

I do have one little question about the film...
*Spoiler*
Why the hell would an advanced alien species who have a weakness for water invade a planet that is 70% covered by it? And if they had no choise, why didn't they just wear some sort of hasmat suit or just drop by the closest 7-11 and nick a few raincoats. Oh well. Who cares, good movie. :D

Vulnerable to water? Hell, our atmosphere's full of it.

A great horror movie. A major let down for what I expected it to be, though. I expected more Sixth-sense or Hitchcock style tricks, coincedences, plot twists and such, (not a remake of War of the Worlds. Good points about the water in the atmosphere. I'm not looking too much into it; it's not worth picking over, it's a horror movie.)

See it with your date, but don't expect too much analysis afterwards.

Edited by request.

Saying its a war of the Worlds remake spoils it...we all know what happened in that...

*HIGHLIGHT*

as Galactic Emperor said, it's NOT a remake of War of the Worlds...

they just mention it in the movie, but it's not really a remake!
