Title: In-Game ship and weapon menu?

I would like the ability to dock with a space station or capital ship and bring up the menu to select a new ship or equip different weapons.

See Wings of Dawn.
That has a script that "pauses" missions and brings out a mouse-accessed menu. Repurpose as necessary.
