Post by: Knight Templar on August 05, 2002, 02:17:15 am: i'm just starting archspace and i'm wondering what race i should play as. I'm thinkin xerusian or human.

For those that play, help/advice would be cool, thanks

Go as a human. As in most games, their the average player. My name is Cpt Novak, the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Star Alliance (G.S.A.). Submit an application to my council and I'll help you out.

I think the Xerusian's are best for their Psionic powers. Just go human, there's not that much difference. And leave your research as Free Research, it's a lot quicker.

Send out explore fleets as much as possible (generally only 1 ship in explore fleet, seems to go quicker).

Get "the Proxomitron", kills pop-ups, banners, ads, intrusive cookies, nosey java scripts, you name it. Not sure if it works in the game, but you should still get it.

EDIT: I forgot where I saw the link to the game, can anybody post it?

Not much... But a lot to start off with! :D When I played the game I had about 500 million PP (and not because of that stupid bug from last round).

Edit: Yeah, seems to be a new game... that's good. :) It's free, isn't it, and if it is at the moment it'd better be after it's finished, too.

I play planetarion as well, and it is ok. Fewer people play it now that it is p2p. But it is still decent. The 4 races tend to make things more interesting.
