Title: Am I good enough?
Post by: aldo_14 on July 13, 2001, 04:46:00 pm: Just a though. I've been posting a lot of my models recently on these pages, so I guess a lot of people will have seen them.

My campaign will feature a lot of these new models, replacing quite a few old ships. The question is, do you think these are high enough of a standard to justify this?

I don't mind making the 15-odd models I have planned alone (if need be), but I don't want to find I spend all this time modelling and people are put off the campy because the models aren't just quite good enough, so some feedback would help me decide where I go from here. Thanks.

I almost have no feedback about my descent campaign, but at least, I've carried on till I made all I could do by myself. The rest is up to people willing to help me for missions. Why did I keep up when I can witness what is for me an obvious lack of interest? Coz it makes some valuable experience. If I didn't make models before, all the pretty thingies I poped out the last days would have never existed...

Your models are excellent IMHO, you've even went as far as to create some textures which most people will give you kudos for alone.

Tweak the textures, add a few more details and you've got top class material. To sum up; I'd play your campaign just to see the models (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~freespace/ubb/noncgi/smile.gif)

Aldo, you of all people should have no reason to worry. The models are fantastic - and like Maeglamor said, a little bit of tweaking, and the only way is up.
