So, I`ve been following the guide. But I can't insert any missions into a branch.
Help?

Select a mission and then do a ctrl-click, just like placing a ship in FRED. :)
This is one of those sort of obvious things in retrospect, but I think pretty much everyone here has fallen for that problem. (Including me multiple times!)

Thanks! You just helped me solve my ultimate problem in the creation of campaigns. Expect horrendous campaigns to arrive in the near future, as soon as I can figure out, how to get any missions to appear in the "Available Missions" Category...
On an unrelated note: Nice Gentleman Perseus. It made me laugh uncontrollably when I saw it.

Right so FRED is pretty lazy and will only list out the missions available under the directly selected mod, nothing through the other /data/missions/ directories that the actual game may look through. So if your selected mod is /awesomemod/ then FRED only looks in /awesomemod/data/missions for the campaign editor, and not /data/missions or /mediavps2014/data/missions. I hope that makes some sense...

Why thank you. :)

I have literally never figured out how to do this. Every time I have to create a campaign file I go around begging for someone to remind me how. As soon as I do it, I instantly forget how it works.
-
I don't think I've ever used the campaign editor. There used to be bug that would sometims prevent it from recognising mod missions, so I just copied another campaign file and edited it via notepad.

Someone could do a detailed tutorial on Campaign Editor. this thing wrecked my own release, its not clear at all... -.-

Is there anything about that which is unclear? I don't mind suggestions.

I've never read the Diaspora documents to be honest, actually. hm. That might have been a mistake.
