Title: AVI editor needed
Post by: Bobboau on August 06, 2002, 02:46:22 am
I need something that will take a serese of image files (preferably TGA 32 bit compressed (I think) ) not necisarily in complete order (so I can have several diferent sections strung together) and take a sound file (MP3 (<-prefered) or WAV) and spit out an AVI, the more codecs it can spit out the better but it must have uncompressed full frames (for compatability) and the more tolerant to the imput files the better,
and above all it must be free
no real rush don't NEED it now, but I would like to have this soon.

I need a screen capture utility that will record video, and do it whilr Freespace is running.  I'd like to record a preview for the Police Action Campaign, but I can't record in game.  How do I do that?

Hold printscreen all the time? :D

Now really, any tool that does that will severely lower your framerate. The best way out is to get a graphics card with TV input and output - so you record the thing on a cassette and then import it back. I think that's the way they got the footage for the BWO trailer, IIRC.

Or you could check the source code forums and see if anyone added a record feature or something like that (thought I highly doubt it).

I see.  Thanks.  I'll have to try that.  If I get a card with s-video out, that is.
