Title: Uninstalling mods
Post by: JACathcart on July 21, 2016, 04:41:54 am
Hello all,

This is an amazing project and it has transformed FS2 dramatically.

When I installed FS2 Open, I installed all the mods only to find that they took up 27GB. My hard drive is too small for that level of commitment! :)

How can I uninstall the Mods that I don't want?

Thanks in advance!

You delete their folders. Simple as that.

Wonderful, thank you!

Is there a list of what the mods are, so I can select the ones I want?

If you open wxLauncher and select the Mods tab, you'll see a brief description of each installed mod.

Hmm.  If you want, you can also run Windows' Disk Cleanup, and click the "clean up system file" option.  There you can get rid of all but the latest restore point, old Windows installations, Windows setup files, office setup files, etc.

Also, if you want to see what's using space on your hard disk, you can install WinDirStat (https://windirstat.info/) (it's less than a megabyte in size).

This will give you a graphical representation of your hard disk usage -- to find out what's using what, just mouse over the blocks and look at the status bar and it shows you the path.
