Title: Excellent sound quality
Post by: ShadowWolf_IH on August 07, 2002, 05:56:06 pm
I don't know if there has a been a post about this or not....but by extracting all of the music files to a data/music file, you can change the quality of the tracks to some pretty awesome stuff.  Works best if with the fs1 stuff.  taking 22,050 hz 8 bit mono up to 48,000 hz 16 bit stereo really makes a difference.

Start/program files/accessories/entertainment/sound recorder.

open a file and then hit file/properties, then hit convert now, then in the second dropdown menu just beef it up to whatever you want.  It rocks.

Fs2 is set at 22,050 16 bit stereo, but the difference is also notable with those tracks.

just thought i'd share.

After that, you can convert the tracks with WM8 and have amazing CD quality at 192kbps

I did this with some of the FS1 tracks and added in an equalizer effect into them as well; they do indeed sound much better.

I did the same thing, and added a slight (Very slight) ecco to the fs2 cinema. Sounds awesome. the fs2 cinema sounds awesome played backwards also.
