Normally, I'd finish a campaign before telling other people about it but progress has been rather slowly and I was very excited about the idea and wanted to know what other people think of it.
Either way, 'Corporate War' is, as the name suggests, not about the survival of one species at hands of another or a giant civil rebellion... no, this one's about two Megacorporations (named 'United Resources' and 'Newcom') having a 'little conflict' and a small peacekeeping organisation (GTPEO = Galactic Terran Peace Enforcement Organisation) trying to prevent an escalation.
As the 'conflict' escalates, tactics will be more drastic and weapons more volatile and dangerous.
As far as now, it's planned to have a little more than five missions, nicely packed with custom music.
Did I forget to mention anything else?

Screenshots!
And is this set in the FreeSpace universe?

Yes, it is set in the Freespace 2 Universe.

I like the idea. Let's see this get developed!

UPDATE:
So, as far as screenies go, I...erm... excuse my noobishness... have no idea how to make in-game screencaps, so I can only provide shots from FRED itself (which arguably still look beautiful in a way). I also scrapped a prototype of my first mission which came across a rather amusing bug:
In the Mission Simulator menu, the :v: shows infront of the mission.
Oh yeah, the second line in the targeting view no longer displays ship class, but it displays type and faction (For example: A friendly Perseus shows up as "GTPEO Interceptor")
And the GTF Pegasus is stealthier than ever, but it the improved stealth has a slight catch...
(Screenshot shows a general overview of a mission, which plays off in the Exosphere of a planet)
EDIT: I forgot to warn you guys, gameplay might not be as exciting as it sounds like. This one's kind of focused on story over gameplay... hope that's okay with you.

That's PrintScreen button on your keyboard. Screens are saved in <game directory>\screenshots (in old FSO builds) or in Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\HardLightProductions\FreeSpaceOpen\screenshots (in latest builds).

If you don't mind me pointing this out...
Someone's been playing Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere... ;)
That exosphere screenshot is awesome! I want to play this.

Looks like you found my main source of inspiration there.
Yep, I love Ace Combat 3.
Also, that exosphere used to originally be a level where you had to shoot down satellites but I couldn't figure out how to make Pharosses destroyable so I just turned it into a whole Stealth Recon mission.
And thank you about the picture. I ran across the 'low orbit' background by accident because I mistyped a few numbers in the resize parts.
EDIT: (Addressing everyone who replied) Thanks to your positive feedback, I am now really motivated to work on the campaign. If all goes well, it should be finished by the end of the week.

Did G-Police inspire this at all? It immediately made me think of that game with the G-Police, Nanosoft and Krakov.

Well, no.
But it does seem to have a similar plot after I looked it up.

Alrighty, got some more screenshots up. In-game this time.
I know, I know. They're only from that one exosphere mission (which I think is the most heavily scripted one in this campaign and therefore requires the most work) but I got almost everything nailed down. The pictures are (hopefully) spoiler free, so no worries.
I sure hope nobody's grown tired of this campaign yet.
Don't mind the....strange file names. That's what happens when you combine sleep deprivation and boredom.
Also, I didn't embed them because I usually screw it up...

This may be a comment based on Fannon rather than Cannon, but I'm not sure that jump nodes can exist THAT close to a planet.

I...um....well.... y'see...
MAGIC
Actually, this was more or less a developmental oversight. I'll probably remove the nodes in the final product.

Oh, I never knew that. Thanks for telling me. I'll edit the posts as soon as I get the chance.
